Registration is now open for Queen’s Model Court 2014!

Registration for Queen’s Model Court is now open! Queen’s Model Court (QMC) is the premier undergraduate law conference that takes place the weekend of November 7th-9th, 2014 that connects 140 of the brightest and most inquisitive students with the resources and experiences pertinent to the study and practice of law. The conference revolves around six cases including corporate, criminal, health malpractice , international, human rights and non-academic discipline. ACTIVITY: Queen’s Run Club

Queen’s Run Club – The Run Club caters to both beginner and intermediate runners who want to increase their distance, improve their time, and/or simply find some running buddies. The Isabel Goes Alt

A new music series will bring some of Canada’s most sought-after performers to Kingston to perform as part of the inaugural season at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. New Workshop “Silversmithing for Beginners” by Alchemy House Jewellery

Alchemy House Jewellery is Kingston’s newest destination for handmade jewellery, and instructional classes!  Next Session Start Dates: Tuesday, Sept. 23th and Thursday, Sept. 25th In this class you’ll work with an instructor to learn all the basic techniques of jewellery making to create your choice of a pendant, ring, or set of earrings. Ice Cream for Wishes @ White Mountain

What better way to spend your summer than by eating ice cream? From July 14th through Labour Day, White Mountain Homemade Ice Cream LTD will be hosting the third annual Ice Cream for Wishes! Head over for some delicious homemade ice cream and 10% of select flavours will be donated towards granting the wishes of local Kingston children! ACTIVITY: Kingston By Fork Walking Tours

This will be the fourth summer for these walking tours of downtown Kingston’s food hotspots, and it sounds like this year’s stops will be the tastiest yet. The Homegrown Eats tour starts at the market, where a guide takes you on a 1-hour informational walk that includes stops at local eateries and ends with a three-course meal at Aqua Terra (adults: $40; students/seniors: $30). The Edible Escapade tour takes you to seven food establishments that last year included Curry Original, Cooke’s Fine Foods and Pasta Genoa; you’ll meet owners and staff, and learn about their commitment to local products.
